complex, the Cork & Cheese might not be much to look at
from the outside, but step inside and you’ll be glad you
did. This great pub is the proud winner of the CAMRA’S South
East Essex pub of the year 2002, due to its welcoming
atmosphere and wonderful selection of real ales that change on
a regular basis.

The Sutton Arms is a highly popular pub in
the Southend area with a band of local regulars who wouldn’t
want to go anywhere else. Weekends are great fun here as the
pub enjoys a lively crowd looking to celebrate the weekend,
whilst Sundays are a far more relaxed affair where you can
simply enjoy a quiet pint or two.

Since opening back in 1976 the Pipe of Port
has been well known as one of the best places in the local
area in which to enjoy a really decent glass of wine. This
atmospheric wine bar has an excellent wine list that is
further enhanced by ordering some of their fine cheese to
accompany it, or indulging in their tempting lunch and evening

pub is located along the seafront on Marine Parade. Once
inside the cosy interior you can enjoy one of their guest
beers or choose from a full range of other drinks. There’s
also a separate family and games room offering drinkers the

the Cornucopia is the Liberty Bell, an altogether bigger and
bolder pub that has accommodation, for those looking to stay
in the Southend area. There’s also an outside drinking area,
perfect for the summer months and a good range of beers.
